Sports related concussion alters central integration

A great study, from July 2019 J Neurol Phys Therapy by Christy et al, suggesting that sports related concussion can “alter central integration of vestibular function, preferentially decreasing performance in higher-order integrative tasks requiring vestibular input (balance, subjective vertical)” but does not not affect VOR and cVEMPs. Valuable reading for those involved in recommending specific therapy or return to play.
